One day, a couple’s 12-year-old son watched as his step-dad and his biker buddies sped off on their motorcycles. He joked to his mother: “Instead of the Sons of Anarchy, they’re more like the Sons of Arthritis!” When Stan Dorak heard the joke, it sparked an idea that would spread the world over.
Stan came up with a couple of graphics that spread all over social media like a wildfire. He started taking orders, and had sold hundreds of shirts before even producing one.
“People really enjoy the self-deprecating humor,” Stan explains. “Even though they are actually suffering from their arthritis and their hip replacements, they revel in the opportunity to poke fun at themselves and enjoy the camaraderie that’s associated with being an old-ass biker.”
